  1. 1. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most engaged with what was happening?
When Paul was informing us of what was going on throughout the first semester and what work we were going to complete.

    2. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most distanced from what was happening?
I didn't feel distanced at all as it was the 1st session back and we were discussing what was going on this semester.

    3. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find most affirming and helpful?
When Paul ran through our assignment with us as we'd already been given it over the summer but he explained it to us so we were fully aware of what was required of us.

    4. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find the most confusing puzzling?
I didn't find anything confusing as Paul explained everything to us very effectively so nothing came across as confusing.

    5. What about the class this week surprised you the most? (This could be something about your own reactions to what went on, or something that someone did, or anything else that occurs to you.)
That we were told that we would only have Paul for one day a week and we'd all be mixed up together on Wednesdays with the other class. We also found out news that will effect our Tuesdays classes as well soon.

  2. 1. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most engaged with what was happening?
During the chat we was having about the course overview of the year.

    2. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most distanced from what was happening?

Whilst i was making my new blog, everything has changed since i last used it, and it is still really confusing... but even more so now. When you get used to something it has to change.
Also, i felt really worried and still do about using a different editing software.

    3. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find most affirming and helpful?
Nothing in particular today as i feel that ive been thrown into the deep end with a few things that have happened today...

    4. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find the most confusing puzzling?
IM COMPLETELY STRESSED ABOUT THE NEW COURSE LAY OUT! WHY CHANGE THE COURSE?! I know that it will help us and 'open our minds' for new ideas and so forth, but the reason i came on to this course is for film! Im just hoping things will actually work out, i am keeping an open mind but im really worried it wont work out for me, and my career choices.

    NOT HAPPY :(

  3. 1. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most engaged with what was happening?

I was most engaged while working through the footage on the new adobe CS6 software as practical work always keeps me more occupied and hold my attention.

    2. At what moment in the class this week did you feel most distanced from what was happening?

I was most distant while receiving our introductory lecture from Chris as a lot of the content however important didn't particularly apply to me.

    3. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find most affirming and helpful?

When Paul came over and helped to explain the new Adobe premiere pro software was the most helpful as dealing with new software or equipment is always tricky.

    4. What action that anyone (teacher or student) took in class this week did you find the most confusing puzzling?

Nothing said today particularly puzzled me however how our film group is supposed to help with the new HE prospectus is unknown to me as this is a paper-based document and we work on moving image is rather puzzling this could have been explain in more detail as the other fields are quite self explanatory.

I was rather surprised about a lot of the big changes happening this year to the course such as only spending one day a week on film specific modules per week this is a rather drastic change to what I've been used to and may take time to adjust.
